March 11 —The Farrons
Once the sun finally appeared around 2 pm, temperatures climbed into the 60s, so it was no surprise when Jim first spotted an Anglewing patrolling a field in Lake Accotink Park, VA. It flew by numerous times and landed several—but never long enough to answer the comma/question mark question!

March 19 —Barbara Farron
While walking through a wooded area of Huntley Meadows Park, Barbara scared up several butterflies from a sunny puddling area near a swamp; she positively I.D.'d one Mourning Cloak, one Comma, and one Anglewing.

March 19 —Pat Durkin
The Anglewings have been making their appearances for weeks, but Monday I saw a freshly emerged Cabbage White flitting across the playground of a school adjacent to Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Prince William County, VA. Now THAT'S spring!
